Valley MedPsych is seeking adult or lifespan clinical neuropsychologists as well as therapists to join our team in a busy private practice in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Our office is in Fishersville, Virginia, within a brief driving distance of James Madison University, Charlottesville, the University of Virginia community, and multiple other smaller universities. Our practice serves adults across the age spectrum for a broad range of referrals for differential diagnosis and clarification of treatment/rehabilitative needs for conditions such as concussion/TBI, cerebrovascular disease, memory loss/neurodegenerative conditions, ADHD, and other cognitive questions and concerns. There is outstanding potential for continuing significant growth of this practice, with high demand for our services. Dr. Gerald Showalter, the founder and previous owner of Valley Medpsych, built a very solid reputation in the area among physician referral sources with most of our referrals coming from Neurology, Psychiatry, and Family Medicine/Primary Care.

Neuropsychologists and therapists would begin as independent contractors with a percentage based payment schedule, which could vary with number of patients seen weekly, as well as use of a psychometrist or not for the neuropsychologist. The possibility of a salary position may also be considered after the first year, at which point benefits could be included, such as options for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off, holiday pay, contributions towards continuing education reimbursement, and possible bonuses based on productivity.
